Loaded Bicycle

After a year as editor in chief of NYU’s literary magazine, Washington Square, I wasn’t yet ready to hang up my editor’s hat. So I founded and began publishing Loaded Bicycle, an online compendium of poetry, art, and translation. We published early work from quite a few writers who are now “big time.” With the exception of the editorial genius of the other two editors, I did it all: layout, design, proofing, marketing, publishing, and web-hosting. And I suffered stoically through the truly hard stuff: attending all those avant garde underground (literally sometimes) and rooftop NYC literary parties. This was back when most people accessed the internet on computers, so you web dev nerds will notice a lot of hover features and sliced up images. Think of it as a time capsule.
