CLMP Literary Editing Award

CLMP Literary Editing Award

The Council of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP) recognized Gulf Coast 28.1 as being among the very best independent literary journals published in 2017. As managing editor, I designed, laid out, and edited the journal, collaborated with other senior editors in all editorial decisions, handled distribution and marketing, and managed the editorial calendar and contributor relationships. But the real accolades go to the amazing team of student genre editors and my fellow senior editors, Adrienne Perry and Carlos Hernandez. Recognition from the highest authority on American independent literary publishing was an immense honor, particularly as we were shortlisted alongside journals that had larger staff, greater budgets, and more resources.
