Framing Our Future

Leadership wanted to emphasize the Exploratorium’s historic contributions to informal science education, while gesturing toward our future as a truly global institution. So I wrote this piece about our departments working beyond the museum floor. Later, when I shared this with the committee to develop a new positioning statement, a senior board member said it was the best piece of copy he’d seen on the place—and he’d been there for decades (after an illustrious career at the helm of a couple Fortune 500 companies).
